It's a long and lonesome road
When you don't know which way to go
But I will find my way into a brand new day
Darlin' I'm coming home
Across this great old land
Darlin' I'm coming home
To take you by my hand
The nights are getting cold
But there's light on down the road
I'll make it to New Mexico
There I'll learn to build a home
Darlin' let's make a home
Upon this great old land
Darlin' let's make a home
Please just take my hand
It's a long and lonesome road
When you don't know which way to go
You're gonna find your way
You're gonna find your way

There's a road up ahead
But I've grown tired and worn
And my knees have grown week
But I must carry on
'Til I reach that point I once called my home
And the words of my father still ring in my ear
If death's comin' close then life's got to be near
And there's a freight train rolling fast down the line
And eternity is simply the absence of time
And I'm just fine, yes I'm just fine
We all have our portion under the sun
It's our God given right and the claim to no one
Merely mirrors for everyone
But no man's an island entire of himself
And a free man's a man who is free of his wealth
And a brother is a man who helps a man out
If you're alright then I'm alright
I come to you now like those who came before
And I ain't saying nothing you haven't heard before
Please listen with your heart and not with your mind
Your just fine and I'm just fine
Your just fine and I'm just fine

The American Dream
03:30
|
|||
Headin' north for the winter
Ignored all my friends
And I can't promise you the place I end
Will be the same place I began
And I ain't got no money
To me that means I'm free
To go where I wanna
To say what I mean
To do what ever I please
And I'll give thanks to the cities
Who fed me and kept me clean
To hell with all the rest of you
Destroying the American Dream
And I'll walk across this country
Though winds and pouring rain
Over bridges and highways on buses and trains
Surf amber waves of grains
If home is where the heart is
Then mine's beating on the road
In far away spots through dark junkyard lots
Where the transients welcome me home
And we'll stroll through the cities
Through villages and one-horse towns
Lord help me when the devil comes and tries to
Tries and tries to pull me down
Headin' north for the winter
Ignored all my friends
And I can't promise you the place I end
Will be the same place I began
It's time for Revolution!
My best friend he'll agree with me
It's time to reclaim what is rightfully ours
It's time to truly be free
And we'll give thanks to the heavens
When god shed's his grace on thee
To hell with all the rest of you
Destroying the American Dream

Mountain Top
02:59
|
|||
I'll meet you on a mountain top
It's so far from where we are
It's so far from where we are
So I begin to climb
Time has no relevance to the wise
So put down your disguise
Go walking in my sleep
And pray the lord my soul to keep
He wonders about me
So I opened my eyes
And seen your world full of lies
It's plotting our demise
The time has come for unity
Don't separate you see
For I am you and you are me
I am you
I am you
I am you
I am you
And you are me

Little Ghost
04:53
|
|||
Hey there little ghost do you remember me?
Been so, been so long
Since I saw you wandering
Little girl passing by this town will eat you alive
Hey there little ghost are you feeling blue?
Been down so long
Can you feel it in your wounds?
Hey good woman say your prayers
For the ghost who haunts upstairs
Can't you see that you are bothering me?
Go away and leave me alone
Can't you see that you are bothering me?
Go away back to your home
Hey there little ghost do I make you bleed?
It's been so, been so long
Since you've sat a talked with me
Little boy in your room
You'll be a dead ghost soon
Can't you see that you are bothering me?
Go away and leave me alone
Can't you see that you are bothering me?
Go away back to your home

Sheep Amidst the Wolves
03:04
|
|||
He was born in September in the midst of the rain
A small town right next to the tracks of the train
And to this day he can still feel the pain
Of a mother crying out gone completely insane
He opened his eyes and what did he see?
An angel and she was looking at me
She loved him to death
Even when she left
To lay in the room of that hospital bed
And daddy he always done the best that he could
To teach that boy right, make sure he done good
Learned him how to love, like any father would
Sent him as a sheep a midst the the could wolves
I wanna live my life then die on a swing
The rocking chair where we always would sing
In the field where we planted so many trees
Where the birds build their homes
And return for the spring
And I'll see my father once I've made my peace
When I've learned how to love and to forgive me
For all that I've done to make honest folks cry
I'll lean in my chair drift to sleep and I'll die

Time it seems to fade away
Like the songs my father used to play
Like the words my mother used to say
"Son don't ever grow to be this way."
And I know the seasons change and help me grow
And I just don't feel so young anymore
And my sister is far off on some dusty road
She's the only one I think could understand
Father forgive me for what I've done
I'm your son, I know I haven't been much of one
And mama I never meant to make you cry
Sometimes we do things and don't know why
And I know the drinkin' doesn't help me
Sometimes it's just my way of getting by
Drunk again, outside I laugh, inside I cry
And just can't go on living this way
Time it seems to slip away
Like the games as children we used to play
Like the words our mothers used to say
"Learn to love, then just give it all away."
And we're told, the seasons change to help us grow
But I just don't feel so young anymore
And my sister is far off on some dusty road
She's the only one I think could understand
The sun will rise and set again
And I know I'll always have a friend
Just as long as I keep playing silly songs

Pieces of Memories
03:20
|
|||
I see you on the couch
Your looking strung out
Consumed in your thoughts
Maybe you'll find peace
Through pieces of memories
Come, you're mine
Come outside
I see you on the chair
You tug at your hair
You're pulling it out
Maybe you'll find peace
Maybe you'll find me
Calm your mind
Come outside

Everything Will Be Okay
05:36
|
|||
I've sat here this broken before
With a smile on my face as I hit the cold floor
'Cause everything will be okay
When everything's gone and everything's done
Everything will be okay
You sat there just looking at me
As far as my eyes could plainly see
You never looked away from me
When everything's gone and everything's done
You never looked away from me
Maybe my eyes are for more than crying
Maybe there's much more I should see
Maybe someday we'll all stop trying
Maybe someday we'll just be
Maybe someday we'll just be
I've been down these dark roads before
With a smile on my face as I walk them once more
'Cause you never walked away from me
When everything's gone and everything's done
You never walked away from me
Maybe my eyes are for more than crying
Maybe there's much more I should see
Maybe someday we'll all stop trying
Maybe someday we'll just be
Maybe someday we'll just be

Inaiah Lujan Pueblo, Colorado
"Whether laying down some succulent psychotropic hip-hop as DJ Flow Nase, feeding off of severely distorted barre chords
with the riff-heavy punk band A Poor Substitute, or lending distinctive vocal abilities to the peculiar and hypnotic "funeral pop" band The Mexican, Pueblo's Inaiah Lujan is plainly a restless soul."
