Lack of sleep in a colored room And I wanted it to stop Wandering through these wasted days And I guess that I'll be back again When all is through And I will be here when it's done Right next to you Drunk again in a quiet room The spinning it wont stop Get me off, please get me off of this ride And I guess that I'll be back again When all is through And I'll be here when it is all done Right next to you

I'll wait, I can't slide I will shake down the tide Wanting peace, wanting peace and meaning I want it all to stop

Can I still be, here and feeling? When I'm so numb When I've been dumbed Down to the point of no return Can I be free, here and feeling? When I'm so numb When I've been dumbed Down to the point of no return And all the days go passing by And all the children start to cry And all the eyes begin to blind And all the lies go passing by to steal your mind Can I still be here and learning? When I'm so numb When I've been dumbed Down to the point of no return Down to the point of no return Can I still be here and breathing? When I'm so dumb When I've been numbed Down to the point of no return Down to the point of no return And all the days go passing by And all the children start to cry And all the eyes begin to blind And all the lies go passing by to steal your mind

In the middle of my sleep I go walking in my dreams In the middle of the night I see your face Darlin' darlin' darlin' In the middle of my dreams I go swimming in my sheets In the middle of the night I hear your voice I hear your voice darlin', darlin' In the middle of my sleep I go swimming in my dreams In the middle of the night I here your voice I hear your voice darlin' darlin'

Well I know that I told you it would be alright But I forgot to write it down And you know that I showed you what's inside Now you're running for the door Tonight in your eyes the sun does shine Well I know that I showed you all of my records But I want them back from you And you know you really stole them I never gave them to you Now I'm crying, I fear I've got the blues Tonight there will be no Robert Johnson for me

On my own once again Falling further again Though I cannot complain Wandering though memories of little things we did love When I was with you Self destructive is what I've been Self inflicting pain And unemployment it's all the same I'm just standing in the rain I'm just standing in the rain All alone once again On my own once again And no I can't explain Wandering though memories of all the things we did love When I was with you Self destructive is what I've been Self deprecated and it's all a sin I'm on my own, my own again I'm just standing in the rain I'm just standing in the rain Self destructive is what I've been Self inflicted pain Unemployment it's all the same I'm just standing in the rain I'm just standing in the rain

As I was wandering through a lonesome highway As I was wandering through some lonesome highway As I was wandering through some lonesome highway with you, with you We pulled over we began to scream We pulled over and you began to scream We pulled over and you began to scream at me Oh wake up my darling love Oh wake up my darling love Please wake up my darling love Please wake up We pulled up to a lonesome hotel We pulled up to a lonesome hotel We pulled up to a lonesome hotel With no vacancy There was no vacancy And I dragged you out I laid you down Well I drug you out and I laid you down And I dragged you out and I laid you down Now you're lying on the floor You're lying on the floor Oh wake up my darling love Oh wake up my darling one Oh wake up my darling low Please wake up

I'm waiting at the station All my bags are packed I'm walking on that freight train I'm never coming back And the moon is shining on my face Lord I've got to leave this place On and on until I am sleeping On and on until the sun arrives On and on until you are dreaming On and on and on Hush my little darling Don't say a word Hush my little baby You're my little bird And if you should refuse to fly I will sing you a lullaby So hush my little darling don't you cry Everything is going to be alright

about

CELEBRATING 7 YEARS

This month marks the 7 year anniversary of my Lack of Sleep album. Available now on bandcamp for just $5. Consisting of 8 songs made up and recorded on the spot, and a bonus cover of my favorate Daniel Johnston song.

(original liner notes) The "lack of sleep sessions" were recorded between June seventeenth and thirteenth 2006, in the middle of the night, with little or no sleep. Most of the songs were written on the spot and later over-dubbed with more instruments including; the tambourine, hand-claps, keyboards and backing vocals. Thanks to any and everybody who made this recording possible, more specifically; the empty basement with the ghost of my dog, the front lawn and the morning birds, the watering of the invisible garden gnome, and all the rest of you who support what I do. I love you all.

about

Inaiah Lujan Pueblo, Colorado

"Whether laying down some succulent psychotropic hip-hop as DJ Flow Nase, feeding off of severely distorted barre chords with the riff-heavy punk band A Poor Substitute, or lending distinctive vocal abilities to the peculiar and hypnotic "funeral pop" band The Mexican, Pueblo's Inaiah Lujan is plainly a restless soul."
